Monday - Students will complete guided notes on the executive branch of Georgia's state government (SS8CG3) and "Powers of the Governor" game Tuesday - iCivics' "The Great State" activity Wednesday - Students will complete guided notes on the judicial branch of Georgia's state government (SS8CG4). Thursday - Students will select three mini-projects from a choice board (crossword, Venn diagram, comic strip) on Georgia's three branches of government. Each branch must be a different selection! Wednesday - **Early Release Schedule** Students will analyze the role of entrepreneurs in Georgia's economy and the 4 major corporations in Georgia that started through entrepreneurship. Thursday - Review game on Modern GA/GA's Economy Friday - Unit test on Modern GA (SS8H12) and GA's Economy (SS8E1, SS8E2) L.Q. - How did Georgia grow and change in the late 20th century? Monday - Students will complete guided notes on the accomplishments of Maynard Jackson, Andrew Young, and Jimmy Carter (SS8H12a&b) Tuesday - Students will complete guided notes on the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and Georgia's modern economy (SS8H12c&d) Wednesday - Students will be assigned a packet on Georgia's modern goods/services, four major transportation systems, modern industries, and the growing film industry (Due Friday, March 8th) Thursday - Continue packet on Georgia's economy, transportation systems, modern industries, and film industry Friday - Finish & submit packet on Georgia's economy, transportation systems, modern industries, and film industry |
