Monday - Students will complete guided notes on Post-WWII Georgia and Civil Rights Era (SS8H10 & SS8H11). Tuesday - Finish notes and create study guide using note sheets/graphic organizers; Students will also answer video questions on the Civil Rights era OR complete a document analysis on the integration of UGA (depending on time in class). Wednesday - Class review of SS8H10 & SS8H11 Thursday - Quiz on SS8H10 & SS8H11 and Milestones survey Friday - Students will begin a Milestones Review packet given in class. Monday - Students will begin notes on the New Deal and Governors Ellis Arnall and Eugene Talmadge as well as World War II using PPT and graphic organizer. (SS8H8) Tuesday - Finishing notes on New Deal/Talmadge/Arnal/WWII. Students must complete a 3-2-1 exit ticket at the end of class. Wednesday - Students will complete an analysis on FDR's Fireside Chat about going to war with Japan and with economic recovery; Milestones Review Quiz #2 (open note quiz). Thursday - Students will finish their document analysis and review for the quiz on SS8H8 (part II). Friday - Quiz on SS8H8/SS8H9 (New Deal, Talmadge, Arnall, Georgia & WWII). Monday - Students will begin notes on World War I and the Great Depression using PPT and graphic organizer. (SS8H7d / SS8H8) Tuesday - Finishing notes on the Great Depression. Students must complete a 3-2-1 exit ticket at the end of class. Wednesday - Students will 6 C's on Woodrow Wilson's presidential speech concerning WWI. Thursday - Students will finish their document analysis and review for the quiz on SS8H8 (part 1). Friday - Quiz on SS8H8 part 1 (WWI, Great Depression) / Milestones #29-30 Monday - Students will complete guided notes on the New South Unit (SS8H7) Tuesday - Finish notes Wednesday - 1906 Atlanta Race Riot analysis Thursday - Class review on SS8H7 Friday - SS8H7 quiz; Milestones Reviews #27-28 Monday - Local Government (SS8CG5) & Juvenile Justice (SS8CG6) notes Tuesday - Juvenile Justice case study; Class review for quiz Wednesday - Judicial branch and Juvenile Justice quiz; Milestones Reviews #21-23 Thursday - Analysis of Woodstock government charter OR Local Government project;Class review for quiz Friday - Local Government quiz; Milestones Reviews #24-26 Monday - Students will complete notes on the judicial branch of GA (SS8CG4) and the "Court Quest" on iCivics. Students will be required to show their completed game score.

Tuesday - Students will complete a state government Open RAFTS assignment Wednesday - Georgia government webquest Thursday - SS8CG1 quiz (branches of government, rights and responsibilities, amendments to the Georgia constitution, voting qualifications) Friday - Milestones reviews #18-20 Monday - Students will share one tic-tac-toe project with the class and review for the Reconstruction quiz in a Jeopardy review game.
Tuesday - Reconstruction quiz/Begin unit on State government (SS8CG1&2) Wednesday - Continue guided notes on SS8CG1&2 Thursday - iCivics state government game "Do I Have A Right?" Friday - Milestones Reviews #15-17 Monday - Students will receive guided notes on the Reconstruction of the American South after the Civil War. Topics will include the Freedmen’s Bureau, sharecropping and tenant farming, Reconstruction plans, 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution,Henry McNeal Turner and black legislators, and the Ku Klux Klan.
Tuesday - Students will finish the notes on Reconstruction and begin a tic-tac-toe of mini-projects on different aspects of Reconstruction.
