Monday - Students will participate in a class review of Georgia and the new United States government (SS8H4). Tuesday - Unit test on SS8H4 Wednesday - Students will begin notes the westward expansion and technological innovations involving Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. (SS8H5a&b) Thursday - Students will finish notes on SS8H5a&b Friday - Spooooky documentary on the history of Savannah's ghost stories w/ Exit Ticket Monday - Students will begin the unit with an activity on the Articles of Confederation using zombies and a new government! They will then complete notes on the establishment of Georgia's new government and the U.S. government after the American Revolution (as part of state standard SS8H4).
Tuesday - Finish the SS8H4 notes Wednesday - Compare/contrast excerpts of Articles of Confederation and U.S. Constitution Thursday - Open RAFT assignment on the GA Constitution/U.S. Constitution/Articles of Confederation Friday - Video questions on the Constitutional Convention Monday - Students will begin notes on Georgia's role in the American Revolution (standard SS8H3b).
Tuesday - Finish notes on the Georgia heroes of the American Revolution/Exit Ticket on the story of Nancy Hart. Wednesday - Students will create a choice board project using the vocabulary from Georgia in the American Revolution Thursday - Review game on SS8H3 Friday - Unit test on SS8H3 (Causes of the American Revolution/Georgia's Role in the American Revolution) Monday - Students will begin the unit on the causes of the American Revolution and Georgia's role in the war. (standard SS8H3a)
Tuesday - Finish notes on the causes of the American Revolution (3-2-1 exit ticket to be completed if time allowing) Wednesday - 6 C's document analysis of Loyalist points of view on the Stamp Act Thursday - Finish document analysis Friday - American Revolution documentary (with exit questions for understanding) |
