** Documents are class copies and not brought home but will be attached on this website. ** Monday - Students will complete guided Cornell notes on SS8H1b - early European settlers/explorers Tuesday - Finish SS8H1b/Primary v. Secondary sources notes Wednesday - Students will complete an analysis of a DeSoto painting and make inferences on the depicted historical circumstances and bias. Thursday - Finish DeSoto analysis/Start Friday - Finish SS8H1a&b review sheet Monday - Review game for Geography quiz
Tuesday - GA geography quiz (SS8G1) - Preview unit on early native settlers of North America Wednesday - Students will take guided Cornell notes on the Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian native cultures of North America Thursday - Finish notes - Begin poster/flyer project on the different Native American cultures. Attached is the instructions for completing flyer. Friday - Students will continue their poster/flyer project. Monday - Students took notes on the geography of Georgia including the 5 regions and physical features using Cornell notes. Attached is the PPT slides.
Tuesday - Students finished the notes on geography and completed a map of the 5 regions and physical features. Attached is the map and terms/features to fill in. *** Textbooks will be utilized to find physical features -- Online textbook access is available on the Home page *** Wednesday - Students will complete a tourism brochure showing the major features of each region. Attached is the instructions and requirements for each brochure. Thursday - Finish the tourism brochure. Friday - Documentary on the geography of the southeastern United States Monday - NO SCHOOL (Teacher Planning Day)
Tuesday - Welcome! Students completed a Body Biography assignment that showed who they are and what they stand for. Wednesday - Students took a Learning Style Inventory to determine their strengths and preferences in learning types Thursday - Students were issued a syllabus (which is available on the Home Page of this site) and reviewed the classroom expectations and course description. Friday - Students completed a Geography of Georgia pre-test and review the answers as a class. |
