L.Q. - How did the Great Depression and New Deal effect Georgia?
Monday - Students will begin the unit on Georgia in World War I and the Great Depression (SS8H8) with guided notes. Students will also complete a 3-2-1 exit ticket. Tuesday - Finish notes on WWI and the Great Depression Wednesday - Great Depression photo analysis Thursday - Complete notes on FDR and the New Deal Friday - Document analysis questions on New Deal programs

Monday - Finish New South (SS8H7) guided notes which includes Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Dubois, Alonzo Herndon, and the Leo Frank case.
Tuesday - Students will complete a webquest on the politics, economy, and African American leaders of the New South era in Georgia. Wednesday - Students will finish the webquest with a "walk through" of the Leo Frank case and answer questions. Thursday - Review game on New South (SS8H7); Study guide due Friday - Unit test on Reconstruction & New South (SS8H7) L.Q. - What changes occurred to create the "New South" era in Georgia?
Monday - NO SCHOOL (MLK HOLIDAY) Tuesday - Students will begin the unit on the New South (SS8H7) with guided notes on SS8H7a which includes the Bourbon Triumvirate, International Cotton Exposition (ICE), Henry Grady, and the Jim Crow laws. Wednesday - NO SCHOOL (Inclement Weather) Thursday - NO SCHOOL (Inclement Weather) Friday - NO SCHOOL (Inclement Weather) L.Q. - How did Reconstruction change Georgia's people and society?
Monday - NO SCHOOL Tuesday - Students will complete a Venn diagram comparing/contrasting the Presidential and Congressional plans for Reconstruction. Students will also begin a question packet on primary sources from the Reconstruction era and receive the unit study guide. Wednesday - Continue working on Reconstruction document packet Thursday - Finish Reconstruction packet and check study guide Friday - Review game and Reconstruction quiz **Happy New Year!
