I informed all 8th grade classes of this on Monday: Due to the inclement weather causing further school cancellations this week, I will post the assignments that were scheduled for this week on the blog for students to get a head start on. Because of the numerous days we have missed in January and February, all classes will have to move at a faster pace for content coverage before CRCT testing. Over the next week, Mr. Jackson will post materials to obtain and review content including PowerPoint presentations, Study Island lessons, and Educreation videos (through Mr. Jackson's created classes) and other links through Georgia Stories and New Georgia Encyclopedia. Monday - School Cancelled Tuesday - Teacher work day Wednesday - Students started notes on the standard SS8H6b - major battles of the Civil War, Emancipation Proclamation, and Sherman's March to the Sea. Thursday - Students analyzed excerpts of the Emancipation Proclamation using their 6 C's of Primary Source Analysis sheets. Friday - Students will complete CRCT Review passage #6 for their notebooks. Students will then view some video excerpts on the major battles of the Civil War and have an exit ticket on these clips. Monday - Review for mid-term (Jeopardy review game and finish review sheet)
